Yeah the i-car was _ahem_ modelled after the smart. Looks cool.

In Canada there is only one microcar available. The next thing up is the huge limo, the Yaris. Bah!

Also, we only get the cdi diesel version of the smart, so if you want a fairly easy 90 Imperial MPG on the highway, it is the car to get.

The next version, arriving this fall, will not include the diesel, so I'm keeping mine forever.

Yeah, it's a pitty realy there isn't much choice in small cars in north America. Who knows how long it will take before that is gonna change? It could go real fast. if Toyota decides to actually bring the Aygo to the US there are plenty of carmakers present in the US that already have a small car in their assortment and it would be easy enough to bring them over. Point is always that there isn't much money to be made with these small cars they say, but then again they somehow do it in the rest of the world, so why not here?
We'll see where it goes; for now I'm happy with my VX :)
