Had this sent to me. Unreal no mention of FE but think of how much fuel he must have used in 41 years!!!! I was suprised at myself keeping the metro for 8 years, 41 years blows me away.

Is his other vehicle the space shuttle? Is his daily commute to the moon? And who rebuilt his engine - I want that guy to do work on my car.

The guy gets 100k out of brakes and tires. He must do all interstate type driving at low speeds. 450k out of a clutch seems to go along with that. I would be lucky to get 35k out of brakes around here. And even an experienced driver at best gets 150k out of a clutch.

Really any car can get that kind of mileage if you drive it a lot and are mostly doing constant speed interstate type driving. It is the stop and go and short distance stuff that wears a car out. I bet that car wouldn't last a month driving to work around here :)

I got 190K out of the front brakes on my 93 Toyota pickup. The rears are still good at 220K, as is the clutch. The miles include a lot of mountain driving and trailer pulling.
