Instructables Guide

So, I was asked to do a write up on some of the more drastic changes for FE.

Here

And some of the responses have been interesting. I'm about to do a round of editing (adding more safety stuff and warnings). If you see anything I utterly screwed up/want added - do let me know and I'll change/add it :)

The most hilarious comment thus far started off with:

Remember this "the faster one travels the less fuel one uses." The sole reason why jets are more efficient than prop planes, because they go faster.

Huge props on that page. I couldn't stop reading once I started.

I think you displayed a huge sense of tact and met oncoming comments perfectly.

I love it, and I bookmarked it. Theres sooo many ppl who just don't know the essentials!

Hey I recognize the car in some of those pics! ;)

I agree that you handled the comments with tact & diplomacy. It's a good thing that commenting requires registration; if it were wide open, I suspect you'd be working full time replying to objections & misinformation!

Nice write-up. Somewhere else to point newbies looking for an overview.

It really varies.... The user with the most page views has a lot of projects that 14 year old wanna be pyro's dream of.

But there's a decent amount of adults around too (they come out when projects geared towards them are published -- like how to make concrete counter tops and such).

Tell me about it :p

Honestly, I don't see an article like this being too successful when someone stumbles across it. Information like this is only useful when the person seeks it out compared to a unprovoked presentation. People are typically just too set in their ways :/ But, perhaps it will get some of the kids without driver's licenses at the moment to think about it

It's just the kind of thing that gets picked up by other sites like AutoBlogGreen or Treehugger. The readership that would follow their link would be more suited.
