Smart Electrical Panels

When some company offers a smart electrical panel that can give me daily consumption graphs by circuit I'm going to be first in line for one.

Here's one company that makes such a device

I remember that there's another one out there that tells you things like how many pounds of CO2/day your putting out on top of energy consumption... I just can't remember the name :/

Here's another one (maybe the one I was thinking of)

I seen on this old house some one offers a programmable light switch, its like the thermostats that you can cut on/off the heat/ac. up to 8 wall switches can be tied in to turn on/off lights. the wall switches look like the regular switches except their tied in to the main control, I'm not sure if its hard wired or remote to the wall switches. granted its cheaper to just shut off the lights by your hand or maybe program it in and never have to touch any lights unless the bulbs burn out. I'm not sure if it keeps track of how many kilowatts it uses but it does have a clock where you can set on/off times.

Close guys but not quite... I do have a WattsUp Pro that can log and graph anything up to 1800 watts that you care to plug into it, but what I'm talking about is monitoring circuit breaker by circuit at some discreet interval like maybe 5 or 15 seconds just how many kilowatthours are passing through. Then I'd know when the fridge cycles, the water heater, the main circuits... everything that adds up to the monthly bill.

I don't want an add-on for each thing I want to measure, I'd like the electrical panel itself to monitor and log energy usage and have some method for passing that on to a PC.

? I thought the two links did just that.... Well, not breaker by breaker - both do the entire house from the meter....

Not sure on the log capabilities though :p

There's this guy who rolled his own:

or here's a link to some place that has it, BUT its $400 AND they're sold out:

Finally, there's this guy, it doesn't log data, but it's pretty much a scangauge for you house. Only $140:
