Even if I go to the dealer, I have to insist that I have a VX and the guy give me regular civic plug.
I toll him, Its a VX the plug are differenf from regular Civic. He check in is computer and tell me You're right, it not the same! :rolleyes:

I have OEM plug, rotor, cap, wire, fuel filter.
The only non OEM it for the air filter. I buy a OEM replacement K&N

Welcome! It's always happy to see a fellow VX. :D My VX hesitates as well when I hit the gas, but not as badly as yours. I still haven't ordered my o2 sensor, but given the number of miles and the general neglect my car has had over its lifetime before it came to me, I shouldn't even hesitate to get one, right!? (I highly doubt it's ever been replaced)

I never gapped my spark plugs. They looked about a millimeter. Do they not come properly gapped out of the box? I'm using the NGK ones advertised on the car as the preferred spark plug.

About your lowish mileage Alain. What kind of driving do you do? If you could give a detailed account of the sort of terrain and length of trips and speeds and traffic you drive in, that all plays a significant part. At what RPM do you shift from 3rd gear to 4th for example? In third gear when I reach about 1600RPMs I shift. Sometimes sooner. About 1400RPM from 4th to 5th.

1st gear - 1800 RPM (or 11mph)
2nd gear - 1800 RPM (or 20mph)
3rd gear - 1450 RPM (or 25 mph)
4th gear - 1350 RPM (or 31-32mph)

That seem about right TomO? Any other VXers wanna weigh in on this?

I think I'm getting in the upper 50s Alain, (with no mods to the car and non LRR tires) although I'm still not certain about my mileage because I haven't done enough tanks yet.

You might want to replace the distributor cap, rotor and spark plugs.

Cap/rotor wire as been change last year and plug rechange this summer.

For the O2 sensor, is there the NTK NO. 24300 are the same that the dealer sold?
Cause here in Canada, the sell it 249.88$cad And I can have the NTK no 24300 for half of the dealer price.

It seems that his feedback is mostly good (99.2%) but I did notice one feedback stated that the O2 sensor failed in 3 weeks. I couldn't see what kind of O2 that person bought... Your Mileage May Vary I guess?

A lot of the models look wrong but the picture looks like what you need.

Just received and install the new O2 sensor! It is exactly the same as my OEM of 260 000km!

The difference is incredible! No more hesitation, smooth idle have to press less on pedal to cruise at same speed than before, can even run at 800rpm in 5th speed and no vibration(before the dash want to fal down cause to execive vibration) no bug down when hit the pedal to accelerate!

Fell like I will do over the 60 mpg! :D

Hey Alain, I saw some pics of your VX and was wondering if the cool striping and 'VX' on the sides was original or if you added this to the car. I had never seen it before.
