The 1995 Vx Is Home In Florida And Performed Perfectly All The Way From Washington Dc

Hi,

Just wanted to share some info about how my trip went. I drove to orlando from tallahassee on Thursday, a 4 hour drive. Caught my flight to DC a 2 hour 10 min flight. I landed in DC at 2:05 and my friend picked me up. From the airport we drove 35 minutes to the mans house who was selling the car. I test drove the car, gave him the cash signed the title and drove back to my buddy's house. Then I checked out DC for a bit hung out, saw little richard perform and was back at his house by midnight. I slept for 2 hours then got up at 2 and started driving to florida. Got to Jacksonville Florida where my brother lives at about 3PM Friday, no problems the entire drive. Partied Friday night got up late saturday and drove to orlando a 2.5 hour drive, no problems. Saw a bunch of friends in Orlando took my buddy to his friends house. I slept there sat night, woke up sunday and drove home to tallahassee 4 hour 20 min drive, once again no problems.

I averaged 49mpg my first tank, 45mpg the second tank, and got 47mpg on the 4 hour ride home.

Pretty good I think, I know it will only get better.

Here are some more pictures of the car...tomorrow I will be washing and detailing it and putting on my mint set of VX wheels with the new tires.

I will have a set of VX wheels for sale if anyone is interested.

I see no pictures, but sweet deal on the drive.

Congrats! What was your average speed for the trip?

Sounds great! I drove 6hrs to get my VX too, but it was not the best ride since I was without a radio, half the lights weren't working, and the one struts was missing the upper bushing in the back and was SO noisy. Glad to hear it went smoothly for you!

Alright guys, I left the power cord to my mac at a friends house on the road. Here is a link to the pictures of the car as soon I got home from the trip. I need to clean it and detail it and then I will post again...so we can see a before and after..

Average speed for the drive was around 69-77 mph...But I would say 72-73 mph most often.

Wombosi,
Your too funny! The thing is I missed/got screwed out of 4-5 other VX's before getting lucky with this one. Not to mention 4 buyer checks at 60-95 bucks a piece :P...
My 1996 dx is a dope looking ride though, just wish it got the mileage of the vx.

Sweet ride. What's the red pillow for, backpain?

This must be obvious to other VX owners, but I never knew that the radiator was asymetrically aligned beside the engine fan. This must be to save space. Is the battery as thin as it looks in the picture?

Ohhhhh, now I understand your name now.
