Fuelly Android App -

Fuelly Android App?

A Fuelly Android App would be awesome... I'd pay $1 for the app!

I am sure an I-phone App would be great too, for owners of an Iphone.. :)

Just remember, there are more Android phones out there than I-Phone!

Have you seen Fuelly Mobile? It runs on any mobile phone, including iPhones and Androids. Also be sure to check out fueling up via SMS.

You also might want to read the discussion about why we aren't creating native apps for various mobile devices. Here's the last time this came up.

I have to say, for the current scope of this website, and the driving habits of most Americans who use fuelly, there probably isn't much that a local app can do which the website can't, but is still useful.

The only thing that I can a see a local app doing better than the mobile site is loading the UI from memory when you're outside a service area, then storing the data for when the phone re-enters a service area. This same feature could also be applied to products like the iPad and iPod Touch as well, which don't have mobile internet, opening up new markets.

That being said, I've only once had to fuel up outside of 3G coverage, and if I had SMS service on my phone I could have used that to fuel up.
