New to site

As the name implies I drive a Dodge Neon SRT-4. I got interested in hypermiling after seeing a news report on it on some station or other. I've been experimenting on my own but decided to sign up here to get a few pointers from some of the more experienced guys/gals. The most i've squeezed out of my car is 31mpg which may not sound like much, except most of my friends that own this car get only 20-23mpg. Anyway, happy hyper-miling. ;)

Welcome to the site :) Where are you located?

31mpg out of a car that usually gets 20-23 is pretty good... you'll find that every car has it's limitation, unless you REALLY push it.

What kind of things are you doing now to get 31mpg?

Nice Car

Hey nice car  Too bad they quit making the Neon platform -- really a good chassis for Autocross, etc.

I say 31 is amazing with the high-boost turbo and race-gearing of your vehicle. Keeping out of boost is probably the best bet. Do you have any engine managment controllers, etc?

Best FE...

Welcome to GS! I took the liberty of assuming it was a 2005 and looked here :

Sooooo, it looks like you are already beating EPA by 6 to 9 MPG, :D .

Welcome! Those little tubo Neon's are awesome in my book :) Always liked the looks and power. Too bad gas is so pricey ;) Anyways, enjoy the site, look around and ask LOTS of questions!
