Just changed my oil last night with Rotella T6 and a wix filter.

I bought 3 gallons of the stuff through some online coupon I found on one of the forums I'm on. Clutch/shifting is much smoother and quieter now.

I figured the brick was for that reason, or to always keep the bike close to centered so you can visually check oil level more easily. Have you found that yours burns oil at all? I heard on a kawi forum that if you ride above 8k much that it'll burn some.

Shifting performnce on the lil' Ninja does seem to have lots to do with oil, when I first got my moto, it was very difficult to find neutral once the engine is turned off, shifting from neutral to 1st or 2nd was difficult while sitting at a traffic light w/engine running. After an oil/filter change the smoother shifting is immediately noticable.

I don't notice any oil burning on my Ninja, it's got little over 5400 mi. on the odometer now.. I don't ride above 8k rpm very often since I rarely get on highways.

Filled up last night... 4.405 gallons. LOL!!!

I had been on the reserve for about 30 miles. I'm not recording the mileage in my gaslog because the fuel leak that had came back and the bike spend a lot of time idling during maintenance.

Current tank won't be real impressive. I put 90 miles on it last night chasing my friend on his sv650 all over Indiana back roads... 10k RPM cruising will take its toll.

I will openly admit to some foul play... dumping the clutch in 1st gear at 7k rpm gets the wheel up in a hurry. haha
