Hello! My name is Mike and I'm the owner of a new-to-me '90 Honda Civic Si hatchback. This vehicle is my new commuter, to keep the mileage down on my old commuter, a '94 Impala SS. Its in no way a looker, its more of a roach, hence its name. I purchased it about 2 months ago, its my first Honda. Except for thicker battery cables, a urethane shift bushing, oversize tires, and a japanese replacement motor, it is stock.

My goal is to get 40 mpg in it. My commute is primarily 80% highway and involves climbing a small mountain pass, and some bumper-to-bumper traffic for a few miles on the return trip. So far I've been able to get 32 mpg in it while travelling 60-70 mph. I'm going to vary my tire pressure settings and try different driving styles to achieve 40 mpg. I started a gaslog as well.
