WTB: Honda Factory Radiator for VX
My VX radiator has a slow leak. I purchased a used OEM one from Ebay and it was DOA with a crack in the end cap. It is getting returned.
Anyone have a stock radiator they would be willing to part with? I'd be willing to work with you on shipping or if you are in SoCal I might be able to pick it up. Thanks in advance! |
I bought a new non-OEM one on ebay last March which has worked fine so far after more than 10K miles. They are now available for a ridiculously low $33 shipped. You really can't go wrong with that. I believe the ebay seller was Radiator Connection. Autozone wanted $120 for essentially the same radiator - which was an aluminum core with plastic ends. Get them while they're "hot". Double pun intended!

$69 and free shipping for a brand new radiator. otherwise it appears that $80-100 will get a brand new radiator from an auto parts store where you get to deal with a person face to face, and if it doesnt work they might remember who you are, and will make sure you have the right part the very next day. |
If possible, I'd like to stay with a Honda radiator. Anyone have any thoughts on where to obtain a 100% OEM Honda radiator?
|
hondaautomotiveparts.com wants $251.53. Ouch!
|
AutoZone radiators may have plastic end tanks, but so does the OEM and they are lifetime warrantied.
|
I found a slightly used OEM to the door for $80. So far it seems to be working great!

Still going strong!
