'93 Geo metro body mods for FE

Howdy, back from hiatus. I posted this at the Swift forum as well.

Finally got my automatic car into the 40's (mirror delete, air dam, tire pressure, etc.). Had some surgery things going on that required that I leave it automatic for awhile, will convert the car to a 5 spd. shortly and eventually chop the top.

According to my quickie tuft testing there's a pressure bubble exending nearly the entire length of the hood, which eventually reattaches at the windshield, so tonight I was studying the car looking for a reasonably painless way to lower the facia.

Engine height makes it difficult to simply shorten the core support and "droop" the fenders (a la NASCAR) in order to get the hood angle to more closely match the windshield.

Alternately I was considering shortening the hood and front fenders, eliminating most of the front overhang forward of the wheelwells.

Any thoughts on this? Is shortening the path likely to have the result I think it will?
