Welcome!

There are some good threads here, this among them:

The best two are easy - slow down, and take it easy on starts (don't jackrabbit from a stop). Lose weight from the vehicle (anything unneeded but stay safe), coast when you can, etc. Keep your vehicle tuned up.

Congrats on the VX - it's a great moneysaver. Put your car in the garage and ask lots of questions - use the search tool too!

Welcome to the site. Another VX. We need to change the name of this site to VXRUS.com with all of the vx's on here.

Welcome aboard! You can check the link in my signature to spend some time on reading up lots of info for the VX as well as visit CivicVX.com for some info.

Please tell us a bit about the price and condition of the car if you will.

first thing to do is to fix things that are altered, if the car is stock then fix things that are broken, once that is done you can start to modify it to do better then stock.

The 10 Commandments of the VX

AMEN

Nice site Tomo, its probably your site? Did you never told us about that, if so I havent noticed.

Congrats on the site, and to domggg for its "new" vx.

And a tip, put some Low Rolling Resistance tire. Do a search to find out what brand to put on. And if your tire still good, well keep that in mind for the next set. I wish I knew that before buying mine, still a great gassaver this litle VX, funny to drive, roomy (enough place for a bike in the back with the seats down...) and cheap.

Congratulations on the VX purchase! Good pickup. :D I'm still looking for the right one that is stock. Everyone I've come across has been heavily modified or is a rust bucket. I agree with Ryland, that you should take care of all of the altered or broken things on your car and then start modifying for FE. Have fun!!
