Oil industry propaganda

Hi Mr. I,

Just curious why you're directing us to a link for oil industry propaganda.

Regards,
Bill

More information is better. Nobody has to agree or believe. It's your choice how to interpret it.

I guess I was just wondering if you were trying to argue a particular point. (Should we increase/decrease gas taxes? Should we invest in oil? Should we subsidize oil companies or not?)

No particular point other than to let folks see what, to many people, is the "other side" and to see it not through the usual fourth-hand, politically polarized filters. It may be the first time some have actually seen the information. I fully realize many will dismiss it out of hand as industry propaganda.

Whatever.

Personnally, however, some of my investments are in petroleum and I am not sad about it. I don't believe subsidizing industries at all is a good thing to do, except in the most important cases. "Important", of course, is in the eye of the beholder.

For the people who are upset about such huge profits, why not purchase some stock in these companies and keep the profit for yourself? Then it won't be nearly so upsetting.

Just curious.

I don't think any intelligent people take that link very seriously.
