FE attempt resorts in early failure of suspension parts?
 

I replaced the rear sway bar endlinks on my Saturn about 2 years ago, the originals had 125k on them when one let go and broke.

Since then, the car has been moved from salty nasty Cleveland, OH winters to the less harsh salt covered roads in Cincinnati, OH.

The endlinks were OEM and installed correctly.

I relate their failure to my recent (about 6 months) goal of achieving greater fuel economy by not braking so hard into turns.

Can anyone relate to this?

A rear swaybar endlink failing in 6 months?!? I think you might have other problems back there. How much do the rear wheels move side to side without the swaybar installed (might need to use a lot of force to find out but don't knock it off the stands)?

you won't break a sway bar link from hard turns in a saturn, not in 6 months. if you did, I'd go through them every week the way I drive.

how about getting NOT OEM end links. cuz u know, GM is noted for such great quality parts :-p try energy suspension ones from most parts stores. they might be $20 but you won't break them in a saturn.

haha i dont even have the front way bar hooked up on my truck... buggers rusted off! (altho it took 130+K miles to do so :P)
