hello from california

hi, i just heard of this site not too long ago and maybe just in time. 91 octane here in sf is at $3.989/gallon
currently i have a 5.6 liter nissan titan (~16mpg) that i daily drive as my dad is borrowing my original dd (97 accord ~30mpg). i plan on selling my accord to build a civic that'll get around 50 mpg and still have a little pep in it (~120 whp).
with the titan i use it to tow my autox car and im really looking forward to learning how to better my towing gas mileage. as well as increasing its mpg as well.

Welcome!
wow, you must be buying gas in downtown SF. I saw a station there that's had 91 octane at $3.99 for a few weeks now.

Gas Prices in SF is Ridiculous

I just filled up my Land Cruiser yesterday @ the San Leandro Costco and it cost $75 bucks ($3.65/gal, reg unleaded, they ran out of premium).

I'm glad we only use the Land Cruiser on weekends.

The guy I work for had a 2004 land cruser, got 11mpg with it! ended up selling it about a year and a half ago with less then 30,000 miles, after having it for sale for a month or more he ended up selling it for around $7,000 and is glad that he got that much for it.

Wow, are you sure it's an 2004 not 1994? That's hella cheap for an 04 (normally north of 20k for that year).
