Squeaky Clutch

I have a 94 vx
the problem i am having is that when i let the clutch out somtimes it will squeak there is no slipping of the clutch and it doesnt seem to be chattery
it just squeaks right before it totally engages weather it be from a stop or on the move also somtimes it is worse and somtimes i can barely hear it. any ideas as to what this is will be appreciated

thanks

the bearing in between your clutch disk and the clutch fork usually is the squeeker. throwout bearing. and/or the lube where the bearing slides on may be dry. finally maybe your clutch petal is squeaking?

Thanks i thought it could be the throw out bearing but wanted some more input ill check it out soon maybe when it gets a little warmer. im pretty sure its not the pedal but it cant hurt to check it

might be the clutch fork or whatever it's called in your is setup.

Yeah... Depends on what kind of squeak it is. If, with the engine running, you can hold the clutch in one particular position and get a continuous squeak or squeal, it's likely the throw out bearing. If you only get the squeak when the clutch pedal is in motion, it could be a bushing or bearing at the fork's pivot point, or on the pedal assembly.

yea, look under the dash with the engine off and push the clutch back and forth. if it doesnt make the squeak then most likely its the throwout
