More metric unit options

Can you show mileage in km/L please?

Hi there, being in Canada I use km and L for my mileage, but I've never really gotten a feel for the L/100km unit. My VW GTI shows me my mileage in km/L, which to me is the closest conversion to the US MPG. Is it possible for you to add this unit?
Thanks!

Yeah, this is something we're thinking about adding. When we built the site we understood that most countries around the world used L/100km to compare the fuel economy of vehicles. We thought that was the world standard and that MPG and UK MPG were unique to the US and UK.

We've had a steady stream of requests for km/L. Probably once every few months for the last year or so. So it's not a ton of people requesting it, but I do think it would be nice to have as an option for those few that really want it. Unfortunately it's not at as high a priority as dozens of other things we'd like to get added—and it's not an insignificant change. So it's on the someday list, but not the someday soon list.

In the meantime if you really need km/L right now you could use the export feature here and write your own spreadsheet to do the conversions.
