ScanGauge fuel rate, and DIY DFCO gauge?

I was googling around to find out whether the ScanGauge measures or calculates fuel rate (GPH). I'm very interested in fuel rate, in addition to instant MPG readings. I did not find my answer. If it has to calculate GPH, then that display isn't going to help me.

However, while searching, I found where someone had asked how they could know if their car was in DFCO mode or not, and I found this on another forum:

Would that really work? Is there some graceful way I could do it (say, for example, using a plug instead of tapping a wire) that won't raise any suspicions if I bring my car in for a warranty claim?

It sounds like it might interfere with injector operation; I imagine those wires carry high-precision pulses and an alternate current path would mess with that.

I'd love to have a LED that tells me when my car is in DFCO mode...

Deceleration Fuel Cut Off. Under some conditions, when your foot is off the gas pedal, the fuel injectors will shut off.
