New to GasSavers.org

Hello everyone,

new member. drive a 2000 Honda Civic LX (auto trans) with fuel heater (home made). just starting out with FE mods. trying the Acetone/Xylene additive just to see if there's any truth to it.

also plan to add O2 sensor isolator, Halo Spark plugs, Map Sensor enhancer (ordering from Protium, they call it the Optimizer) Lubrilon engine protectant, and maybe even an HHO generator....but one step at a time to see if any of the additions actully changes my mpg.

if all of these are successful on my Civic, I will implement the same on the wife's Toyota Sienna.

don't know a thing about Aero mods and hopefully I can pick up some stuff here.

Civic is currently getting around 38 mpg with some hypermiling techniques (not all, not comfortable in shutting engine down while coasting).

anyway, I'm glad there's a forum like this available for us who want to improve mpgs.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums

Welcome! Put your vehicles in the garage for sure.

You may want to search the forums first on some of your proposed changes to see how others have done, and also ask questions before each - you'll meet new friends and maybe learn a few shortcuts!

Installed the Halo Sparkplugs yesterday, seems like the engine is performing much better. I don't have a ScanGauge so it would be hard to tell right away if it's giving me an increase in mpg. will have to wait until I go through a full tank of gas to see the mileage count. so far, the engine feels better.

Also about to install an oil catch filter, will install it when I get the time.

They have over 15,000+ signer already. They are looking for 3 Million. The site is a little slow because I think they are operating on the cheap... they are looking for donations to

Fuel Heater

Would you share your design on the home made fuel heater. I have thought about one but didn't know the best way to go about making one.
