Starting to see results, 59.13 MPG!

I've been getting used to life in the slow lane and it is paying off. My last fill up got me 59.13 MPG in the CRX.

I'd never be able to touch that. Best city FAS 50 to 30 mph glides got me 54 mpg avg on a drive. Never broke past 46 mpg tank.

How did you drive to get that figure?

Concentrating on throttle position and not so much on speed. I let my speed fluctuate between 50 and 60 mph and kick it out of gear on long down hills. Tires at maximum inflation also.

Congrats man! I envy that mpg! I, too, am getting results by taking it slower. Up 4 mpg on my last tank!

Man I'm jealous. I also have a CRX HF and my first two tanks were 40 and 36. However my car has some computer problems. It is flooding and not running properly, so I think it is wasting a lot of gas. Nevertheless I'm a pretty light driver so was expecting a little better than that.

that's way below EPA. It should be very difficult to get those numbers (ie, you should have to be very heavy footed in that car if it is running properly to get less than 40mpg)
