Mystery oxygen sensor for D15Z1 - might it work?

A friend of a friend of mine has this 'mystery' oxygen sensor that is supposedly for a VX. It appears to be brand new and wrapped in original plastic (although this can be done fairly easily to an open sensor). And he is willing to sell it for $50. Here are a couple of pictures.

Everything seems to look good except for a couple of things. First of all, all wire colors seem to match, except that this sensor has a gray wire instead of an orange one. I'm not sure about the positions of the other colors, either. And secondly, although this sensor has a VX part number on it, I was always under the impression that NTK made that sensor and NOT Bosch. Has anyone seen this sensor before? Or better yet, has anyone successfully used it? It would be REALLY nice to be able to get a brand new sensor for only $50. But not if it won't work.

Bosch part number 13246 is a repackaging of NTK's L1H1. This is not to be confused with the Bosch LSU4 series, which is also a wideband sensor but not interchangeable with L1H1.

In other words, you have the right thing. Assuming it's new (and it appears to be new), $50 is a steal.
