Just found this sight a couple of days ago and just registered. What a great site and very informative. The wife and I have a 98 Subaru forester S with 175,000 miles on it. I am looking for a nice stock civic vx after reading through this site. I will be be researching a way to boost the MPG in my Subaru also which only gets about 24 mpg hwy.

Check the "Hypermile Sleepers" thread. Those Civics are in short supply these days, because everyone is feeling the high gas prices and everyone knows they get great mileage.

I bet you can beat 30mpg in your Subaru with some careful driving. Read all about the different strategies, all around here.

Get a DX of the same year as the VX (1992-1995) they are very underrated and get nearly as good gas mileage. Yessum, 50mpg to be achieved with no mods with a manual 1992-1995 Civic DX. Good luck in your search.
