Dumb question on some terms

I've noticed different terms like EOC etc.. being using and i have no clue as to what they mean. Sorry i'm completely new at this.:D

I thought there was a sticky for this. you might want to do a search for it. they may not have gotten the sticky done or not labeled it a sticky.

EOC is engine off coasting by the way.

I say do a search.

OH and welcome to the site

I can't remember what hypermiler status is. I want to say 25 or 30 percent above EPA.

also, there are some good guys on here that have done a lot of research and have had good results with modifications. definitely if you are thinking of trying something, see what others have done that is similar.

there is also a website www.metrompg.com and the guy that runs it is also a member here. he does (what I would consider) non-biased testing on some of the mods as well. he has gone so far as to swap out his transmission for better gearing.

I am not qite as extreme as some but we are all here for the same reason.

I just looked at your garage an your banner does say HYPERMILER with 21.7% above EPA estimates. The banner does not automatically appear in your post but can be made as part of your signature if you choose to do so.

I just wish my latest tank could be used for the banner. Almost every tank is better than the last, and while I don't expect to sustain FE growth, I certainly don't expect it to fall significantly. My current tank (in both vehicles) has been subject to bad weather (increased electrical usage from wipers and lights) and road construction delays (long idling times, slow traffic, etc) and I expect to have nearly the same result as my last tank.

On Effram, the banner reads 29.32mpg for 22.1% above EPA combined 24mpg, but I expect to sustain 42% above EPA at a multi-tank average of at least 34mpg once my older tanks drop off the average calculation.

Hey, surprisingly I'm at 21% above EPA on my truck too, though I expect to eventually sustain only 30% on that.

It's just impatience. In a few months I'll have banners to be proud of. :)

Messages from The Holy Cow , BEEF and Hateful...is there a subtle message there?

Welcome to the place from me as well , Goofy 1.
Enjoy your stay.

Pete.

Hmm...I'm not sure how "hateful" fits in, but maybe BEEF and I are both hungry for a burger. ;)
