I own a 1996 Honda Torneo SiR and went from 21mpg to 28mpg just by reading a following some of your tips... I hope to save even more soon.

Post a pic of your car. I don't even know what it is!

I'd like to see it also. My 93 sedan has an SiR conversion. Check out my garage. I get solid 29's with it before hypermiling. I have yet to try the techniques with it. I drive the CRX HF mostly these days.

Yes, It is a variant of the Accord more specifically it is a Euro R Accord but in Japan it is called the Torneo SiR.

It comes with:

1) Racing type bucket seats
2) F20B (180PS and 145TQ Engine)
3) Traction control
4) Stability assist
5) Electronic Power steering
6) Bose speakers
7) ManualMatic 7 position transmission

Nicest Honda I had seen for that year anyway 1997. Here is a video of it racing some other nice Honda's it finishes second to last but consider that it is a definite family car and you will see that it isn't that bad, LOL. It is the dark grey one that starts at the front left.

If you look at my profile I added some of my past cars. You can see that I have a desire for fast cars.
