More graph options

I love having the options to display different mini-stats. Can we have the same options with graphs? For example: the option to display a graph for cost per gallon over time or a graph for any of the other stats.

Thanks for the suggestion. We would like to provide more graphing options at some point in the future. The top priority on our list for graphs is customizing the timeline for the existing graphs.

Maybe we could use this thread to talk about more data that would be interesting to see on a graph. You mentioned cost/gallon over time. While that would be interesting, it would pretty much follow the national trend of fuel prices. You could probably find that information online to get a sense of how prices have changed over time. I'm not sure that data in Fuelly would be particularly useful on a graph. (As opposed to seeing average price/gallon for different time periods as a statistic.)

And always keep in mind that we have an export feature. If there's something you really want to see visualized and you know how to use Excel, you might try creating your graph there. That could tell you whether or not a particular data point is worth showing on a graph or not.

How about monthly fuel cost in a bar graph like the average monthly mpg?

DTMAce 07-25-2011 09:38 PM

How come the current graph does not show multiple fill ups in the same day? I have 2 fill ups in one day, but it only shows the higher of the two. Just wondering. This is on the 94.

The fuel-ups on June 26th? I see both fuel-ups on the graph. They're in the same column, but they're both there. Hover over the dots and take a look at the details.

I can only see the 36mpg fillup, not the other one, even when I hover over the data point.

Can one of you post or send a screenshot and let me know what browser and OS you're using? Here's what I see. I highlighted the two points that are on the same day.

Nope. Nothing like that. Just shows one fill up, and the curve isn't even the same, just looks like a hill. Screenshot will be in a short bit.

Firefox 6 at the moment, checking in IE 9.

DTMAce 07-26-2011 07:37 AM

Ok, in IE 9 it looks like your pic. But in Firefox 6.0 beta, no, its missing the one data point. And Firefox just updated today, yesterday it was version 5 and it still looked wrong then. I use mostly firefox everywhere, and IE only when I have to. lol
