Motorcycles belong under Motorcycles, not Gasoline (Garage)

In the Garage, in Gasoline, not in Motorcycle.
#1, #2, #7, #12 are all motorcycles, and belong under motorcycles.
They need to move to the motorcycles group.

I'll let the moderators know about this, we'll try to fix.

The Hybrid listing has an entry of a gasoline only auto and a gasoline only motorcycle using a "combined" fuel use to justify the poster's definition of hybrid.
May I use my combined diesel car and pedal bicycle combined fuel use as a hybrid entry, too?

Thread, meet other thread. I think you two have a lot in common.

email from Lug_Nut from a while back:

"Combined" "hybrid"?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your 'combined' EPA number is the CRD's number alone.
Is the intent to indicate fuel consumption per mile improvement by displacement of four wheel travel miles by a 2 wheeled alternative, thus substituting more fuel efficient transportation when possible?

A more eco-biased listing might be to consider the Lambretta as the primary transport and list it's number as the reference.
You'll be more reluctant to use the Jeep that way as it'd drag down the Due's number, rather than at present where the Jeep can be used without consideration since any use of the Lambretta can't help but lift it some.

My responses:
I used the Garage to see what the "improvement" would be...I really don't need any push to "make" me drive the scooter cause it is so much fun. If you see the individual gas log for the Jeep, you will notice that it has already changed the use of the Jeep. The bottom line is that I am saving fuel and isn't that the whole point of this forum? I am using the Garage as a "tool" to help me...not to show anyone up or anything like that. I even posted when I first got the scooter that this was a way to combine rides for an "Overall FE". Either way you look at it, the numbers are just that, numbers.

30 days prior to the Scooter...Jeep=2792 miles

30 days with Scooter............Jeep=1626 miles

Total Reduction in Jeep miles...1,166

Just in case it DOES make a difference to some, I decided to take the combined EPA Mileage of the 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid as my target...27mpg Combined.

By the way, the Jeep is a DIESEL!

It is getting worse..............
Now 1,2,3,7,16,17,18 are in the wrong section............and need to move over to motorcycles.

I'm listening, but don't have the tools to fix this yet. Thank you for pointing this out - we'll get it fixed as soon as we can.

I listed mine as a motorcycle!

You guys need to modify the website, not tell us to modify our garages.

cat0020 06-25-2008 07:55 AM

Maybe the category of "Gasoline" should be changed to "Automobile" or "4-wheel vehicles"?
