Help, looking for LED meter to improve mileage
I am looking for something I read in a magazine this year. What it is is a 10 LED meter which is like a LED/digital vacuum gauge. The way it works is that at cruise or high vac. and easy acceleration it lights green. As your vac. drops it lights yellow and finally when vac is really low like WOT it lights red. Has anyone else seen this device? Help me out and and post where I can find one. Thanks. Cool site!

Well you can do it as a 5V LED voltmeter and bargraph hooked to a MAP sensor, or a 12V ditto hooked to an injector wire through a 330uF capacitor, or a O2 sensor mixture reader... ... ...

You an buy a mechanical vacuum/boost gauge doing the same thing...and more precise.

Are you sure it was measuring vacuum? I've seen 10 LED bar graph gauges showing Air/Fuel Ratio (from the O2 sensor) and fuel injector duty cycle/fuel rate (from the fuel injector wire).

I found it mentioned on this site the Digital Fuel Mizer. It looks like a great learning tool and can return it for a full refund up to 3 years. How could you go wrong. I also found a 10 LED A/F meter but I need it to do 0-5v so it can monitor the MAP sensor. Thanks for everyone's help and a great site.
