Halved Geo Metro Goes from 54 to 75 mpg
The message and concept on the site is good. If people start driving cars like this, perhaps the automotive industry will realize that form over function is no longer a necessity in times like these.
In short: Everybody get out your sawzall tonight and get to work :p https://1989geometro.com/index.html |
Fuel economy over style, that would be form following function.

That usually means it's got to be safe enough to drive first. I don't know about you, but the big SUV next to me looks hungry for Metro blue.

hasn't this car been known to the forum for years now?

I have this urge to cut off the top of my mazda, make a fiber glass Tonneau cover, just a small wind shield for the driver and re-enforce with roll cage bracing to hold the car together. My family looks at me with Sure dad, whats next?(Is he out of his mind)!

I saw that one looks cool my thought are to drop out the front drive train and suspension from a GEO and build a 3 wheeler should be able to get 90 to 100 MPG sort of like the VW litter but with 3 wheels or maybe a mod of the XR3 kit car for a fast to build kit
the VW 1 litter get 282 MPG only weights 660 LBs has a 1 cylinder diesel engine |
motorcycle trik
My dad has thought about taking the front of a VW bug and the rear of a motor cycle and creating a small two person car that is powered by a motorcycle engine and is steered by the VW front.

Looks like someone needs to be introduced to a little invention called the "motorcycle". No cutting required.

It's been done, Morgan was pretty successful building cars like that from 1909 to 1952, they still sell four-wheeled cars. |
