Gel Batterys

Does anyone know anything about these batterys?
The salesman that selling these batteries says that the deeper I cycle them the better they get?
Any info would help.

I can't imagine what would get "better", but there is some good advice here:

I've looked at these batteries before, and the only "benefit" I've really found is that they work upside-down. Since I am right-side-up most of the time, this feature wasn't useful for me so I don't bother spending double the money on one.

Oh yeah, and they look kinda cool.

Important spec's (CCA, reserve time, etc.) seem to be fine on a regular car battery for me.

uh, no they're still lead-acid batteries and are subject to the same problems, they (and I'm speaking of optimas and only from the brochure) just aren't as susceptible to the problems (last 2x longer) and start out better for the same size.
