I do agree with you that there are people out there who's job is to try and eek every last dollar out of oil that is possible. That should stop, it is only going to hurt the economy in the long run....

Americans / gas prices

I personally wouldn't mind if the gas was 4 bucks a gallon, it would keep many people off the road that dont really need to go to the mall and what not.

I think the government will put some type...

I think they have always had the status symbol attached to them. When gas was cheap, they were known as being powerful...They gave the owner a sense of authority to rule over all the small cars...

I am expecting the next generation of trucks to be smaller....or at least sell much less. I think it will be a very hard sale to get a consumer to buy a truck in this day, unless they actually need...

With the boomers retiring, there is no way we can earn back that debt. If privitization of social security happens however, many people are going spend that money rather than save it for retirement....
