Back to 14T Sprocket up front, and amazingly, my MPG has increased. Hmmm. Still prefer the 15T though, and will go back to it soon and will post those #s. 15/36 wasn't very helpful over the winter. My numbers actually went down...a lot.

Dec 30 2014

Very disappointed. Re-geared the 250r with +1/-2 to get even better fuel economy. Was expecting 80-100mpg, but got 70 with my first tank (this is accounting for the +13% of re-gearing). I can only contribute this to cold weather...highs in the 40s to 50s, and lows between 20 and 30, and perhaps all city driving. SMH

Far easier on the throttle this tank....rarely over 6k rpms, yet was only rewarded with 3 more mpgs. Hmmm. Maybe the bike needs to be broken in more before I can reach the 90s. Grrr.

1st 100 miles or so on this tank...moderately aggressive. Rarely above 8k, & mainly below 6k. Trying to lay off the revs during the "break in" period. 2nd half of this fill-up, more conservative on my 10-mile city commute. I guess 78mpg is pretty good, especially since I am reading it gets better as you break it in. Loving my CBR & always get compliments on it, even from riders of bigger bikes.
