Stored bike for the winter. Changed the oil & filter, filled the gas tank & added fuel stabilizer, pumped up the tires 5 psi above normal pressure, removed the battery and soaked the drive chained in penetrating fluid. Odometer reading is an estimate as I forgot to check the odometer before removing the battery. When removing the battery, I noticed a hold down tab on the rear left hand fairing was broken. Not critical as it seems that the fairing is held on well. When removing from storage, the chain will need a clean & waxing and maybe an adjustment. I also have a new air filter to install as I didn’t get the chance to install it before storing the bike.

Changed the engine oil & filter using Motul 5100 10W30 full synthetic oil ($81.99 for 4L) and a HiFlo Filtro HF204RC oil filter ($10.42). The old oil seemed fine. Odometer reading is an estimate as I forgot to check the odometer before removing the battery for storage.

Stored bike in the garden shed for the winter. Changed the engine oil, washed the bike, cleaned & oiled the chain, set the tire pressures, removed the battery and stored it inside the house on a trickle charger.

Replaced fluid with Honda DOT 4 motorcycle fluid. The old fluid looked good.

Replaced coolant with Honda Type 2 coolant. Also drained the engine block. The drain bolt is very difficult to reach with the oil filter installed. Re-used the copper sealing washers. The old coolant looked fine.
