This car has ~215,000 miles on it; all but 10,000 mine. Until last year I drove it constantly, as my commuter car, and averaged ~30 mpg. After having the timing belt replaced last week, I decided to give it a go again. I get ~40 mpg. I'm shocked!
I've driven a Honda CR-Z for the past year and learned how to drive conservatively (65 mph instead of 75+; some hyper-miler techniques). But, but, ... 40 mpg?!
