Repairs over last few weeks include: New Temp II Coolant Sensor, New Relays for Fuel Pump and Power Supply, All electrical grounding points in engine compartment disconnected, clean and reattached, New Oil Pressure Harness installed, All accessible engine wiring connectors cleaned and reattached. ODO=98455 Still no-start condition.

ODO=98,455 Replaced air filter, new filter is Meyle brand. Labor- self. Still no-start condition.

Had Vanagon towed to house from Greenwich Road/Knollwood Ave. by AAA. Stalled at stop sign earlier in week, could not restart. ODO=98,455

Vanagon stalling intermittently, could not restart at Knollwood Ave. and Greenwich Ave. in W-S. Battery OK, starter turns engine but still will not start. More than 1/2 tank of fuel left. Fuel pressure? Fuel Pump? Fuel filter? Air filter? Plugs? ODO=98,455

Reinstalled fiberglass luggage rack over cab after removing accumulated leaves and debris from beneath rack clearing drainage pathways. Washed and waxed metal roof of cab, applied silicone sealant to bolts for rear flange of rack. Metal screens applied with epoxy placed beneath the five drains in floor of fiberglass luggage space. Labor by self.

Completed installation of GoWesty high pressure power steering line (pump outflow to steel line). Filled and bled PS system with Dexron ATF. Holding pressure and steering functioning well. No visible leaks. Parts cost $79.95 plus shipping approx. $15.00. Labor--Self Also replaced old worn Continental PS v-belt (9.5mm x 1075mm) with new Gates 15430 v-belt (approx. 1109mm). Gained extra space between PS pump and alternator necessary for installation of GoWesty PS line. Parts cost approx $20.00. Labor--Self

Installed new aluminum valve covers and new cork valve cover gaskets, replacing rusting original steel covers. Covers from GoWesty, $29.95 plus shipping, cork gaskets from Bus Depot 79 cents x 2 =$1.58 plus shipping. Labor--Self Also replaced filter in power steering fluid reservoir, parts cost $6.90 plus shipping from Van-Cafe. Labor--Self

Finished installing new Blaupunkt Toronto 420-BT stereo head unit. Digital tuning; detachable faceplate; remote control; single CD player; USB, SD, and aux inputs; hands-free Bluetooth calling.

Replaced seven-year-old DieHard battery with new Interstate battery from Costco, approximately $84 plus tax, core fee refunded at store. Using as main starting battery, installed under passenger seat. Size is 96-590, (590 CCA) 42-month free replacement

Completed replacement of fuel tank with new tank from Bus Depot. Replaced vapor lines from main tank to both expansion tanks and cross-tank bridge tubing. New rubber grommets(GoWesty kit)to all tank openings. New sender unit for gas gauge installed. New Bosch fuel filter installed. ODO=95854

On approximately this date replaced old tires & wheels. Old tires were 195/75R14 Michelin LTX that were on vehicle when purchased from Ray Engblom. Replaced original equipment 14" steel wheels with new 15" alloys from GoWesty. Mounted four new all-weather Nokian WR G2 tires in 215/60 R15 size. Spare tire is a new 195/75 R14 on 14" steelie.
