Is there a website where I can look up...

...engine type (series) if I have the VIN from a Honda civic? or is there someplace on the car that will TELL me EXACTLY which series engine my '92 Civic sedan 5spd has in it?

I've gone to http://www.fueleconomy.gov to look it up by model/yr, but it doesn't give me the EXACT engine series. I do know my VX has the D15Z1.

...or if I called a Honda dlrshp, could they tell me?

Thanks!

D15b7

D15B7, more than likely.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic

It quotes all DX models came with this engine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_D_engine is a listing of all the D seres engines, and what they were put in.

um you could look at the stamp on the engine block. if you look just to the left of the exhaust manifold where the block meats the transmission. if it is a 92 4door then it either has the d15b7 or the d16z6. z6 only came in the 'ex'

observe what used to be my d16z6:
