The entire exhaust system is brand new including the cat. So I can scratch that one off

I know where to read the o2 sensor at the ecu end, just wondering what reading would mean the sensor is bad

update...

Just soldered in some writes so I can get a meter on the o2 sensor and vtec solenoid while driving.

So the VTEC works. Normally zero then confess up to battery voltage. Have to wind it up pry hard to get it to come on. Guess I'm never in VTEC normally.

The o2 sensor, though gives me zero v monster what +/- .5 maybe. It just fluctuates in the tenths and hundredths rapidly. But mostly very close to zero. I did this across d14 to d16. From one of those to ground at the key is a low voltage, the other to ground is zero.

Dead o2 sensor?

Oxygen Sensor Information

This site give a good explanation of typical voltage is and how it operates. Looks like your is low but a high of 0.7 volts is typical.

But you are looking at a wideband 02 it is totally diffrent I think it goes to 3 volts possibly more I'll look at the flow chart if I remember it tells you how to test it for real in the fsm.

I am having the same issue with noticeable hesitation on my 95 vx when crusing. I had a 94 vx prev. and what I am experiencing is not lean burn. The prev owner replaced the O2 sensor it is a 5 wire sensor. The O2 sensor has Delphi LTW? Is there a way to find out if this is the correct one? The check engine light is not on. My first step is to replace plugs, wires, fuel filter, and air filter.
