Their alternators and batteries are garbage. When it comes to passive components they do pretty well. I'm running their wires, cap, and rotor with champion plugs and the ignition system never skips a beat.
If you buy the high end duralast wires, they have a lifetime warranty. I returned two sets this summer (both were 3+ years old), they just swapped them for new ones- I got no hassle from the store manager.

I've got an Auto Zone starter on my '88 Escort Pony that's been on it for about 250K miles and has never failed. I also use Duralast wires, never gave me any problems.
I fixed the misfire. It still idles rough. I noticed that when I check the timing without jumping the service connector it retards itself. I constantly runs rough but gets something like bumps in it where it feels like something is skipping a little the instant the timing retards. If I start it it runs smoothe until it warms up. However as I'm driving when I get to a light the revs will hang and then it gets really bad. I can stay still and rev the car but it won't do it unless I acually moove the car. I had cleaned the egr and throttle body and seafoamed it twice but with no results.
