have you seen any differences in IAT sensor temps??

it does look pretty clean. almost like it is supposed to be there.

also, is there any loseness in the front end with that? have you ran it up to any descent speeds since you put it on?

just curious.

*edit* it actually isn't angled back that far. (after looking at the pics again)

i have seen a difference for the better with only 2 of the 3 panels up. i saw 105*f + at highway speeds when i saw below 90*f before.

Zero looseness, also. That's what's great about the strapping, anything you find loose... make a bracket!!! The setup is VERY solid
I'm happy with the contour and angle because it follows the bumper's. thanks!

this morning, my IAT got up to 125ish and I think the ambient was around the 60 degree mark. what does the setup under your hood look like? do you have any grill block? I think you mentioned it but cant remember.

the loseness I was speaking of was in your steering. since you are angling the air down instead of around, I was wondering if the front end was seeing any type of lift. you probably haven't gotten to the speeds required for that though.

I used to have a dodge dakota (2004 model) they would start getting lose around 145mph. that was from the manufacturers design. I don't know that one from experience but several people confirmed that.

triple digit speed + non-responsive steering = big trouble.

hehe no triple digit speed from this truck. it's governed at 94 mph. I had it on the highway at about 70 with 2 of the 3 panels on and I didn't notice anything except my IAT. My goal for the IAT would be about 120-130. I'm sure our ECUs are a bit different, but i think our 2.2s are pretty similar if not the same.

mine is the non-ecotech 2.2 the best that I can figure. I have an IAT sensor and a MAP sensor. that setup works well with the WAI.

you could take some of the leftover scraps from the airdam and make a shield for your WAI. I have heard that the upper limit of temps that you don't want to exceed is 180. that varies depending on who you listen to.

are you taking air right off of the manifold? just running a pipe from your airbox to the manifold may get you to where you want to be.

i have my wai taking air from right above the exhaust manifold. I'm using some 3" ducting with an adapter that opens up to 4". I like how yours is like a catch and my use something like that. I'll post a pic soon.

yes both your vehicles are non Ecotec 2.2's. I have seen temps on my car hit 220f and power went to nothing so I try to keep it around 140-170 max with air bleeds and the like.

I'm not seeing the pictures. Are they still working for everyone else?
