That's an interesting idea with the lexan. It should be pretty easy to do, but it might be difficult to do well. The problem I foresee is un-balancing the tire/wheel. Also, depending on how you adhere the lexan, I'd hate to see it fly off at high speed; that would be a nasty projectile.
