Took the hatch off so I could start morphing the aerocap into it's next form...

Pulled in the sides about 6"...it's not the finished sides...just a mockup. I have new panels to make up and attach.

Best gas mileage to date is almost 35mpg!

New configuration...tapered the top rails in towards the rear.






Last run from Houston to Wichita averaged about 26.1mpg with the aero cap. Stock highway mpg is 19mpg. With the standard camper top, I was averaging around 21mpg the first 2 years fer the same run...same time period.

Added in some gap covers (used some vinyl baseboard) fer the main rails. Rain won't be making a direct intrusion in between the main rails and the hatch anymore...


Painted the sides black including the front access doors fer the cab cover.
