WAI is not only about the "Virtual displacement" idea that you so aptly labeled. There are other factors at work.

The rotating panel would definitely be easier to make than the sliding one...just a single bolt & nut.

I love running "virtual" engines... LOL Today I was driving a "virtual" 327. 327's are great! I still can't wait to finish this tank with the BG 44K in it, and see what I get on the next tank with a cleaned out fuel system, hard tires, and a good alignment. (Plus my 90 day average will update, hopefully for the better.)
