hmm, I was wondering when they'd have pumps that mix the ethanol on an "as needed" basis.

I still like going to the little gas station in Osseo, MN and filling up with non-ethanol premium. It reminds me of the days when we didn't have to use E10. PLus I like watching the increase of gas mileage with the non ethanol, lol. Too bad the non-ethanol stuff costs about a $0.50 more per gallon! But it did give me an increase of about 2-3MPG over a tankfull. In essence, it got me almost 20-30 miles further for that tank, which is about 1/2 of a gallon and ~ $1.25. So it wasn't exactly cost effective, but it was nice.

I have been blending my own gas too. Every thing from E-30 to the non-eth. premium.
The non eth premium along with advance in the timing has boosted the mpg in my old f-150.
I found that 50% non-eth with 50% E-10 87octane is the best for overall cost per miles.

2 Questions:

Is the F-150 Carbed?
...and is it an automatic?

I'm thinking of messing with the timing this Winter -- less likelihood of hot IATs and detonation.
