I remember reading an article on The Beast back when it was contemporary. The owner, John Dodds, spoke about driving on the Autostrada at 185 mph. He said he never looked in the rearview mirror once. If anyone wanted to overtake, that was their problem. Then he had a tyre throw a tread. He said that it was a bit hairy until he dropped the first 100 mph, then it was manageable!
I looked it up on the UK Government vehicle test site, and it is still on the go. It was last tested on 6th March 2017 and passed. It had 9,689 miles on the clock.
