New Audi TT gets 70 MPG

As one of the best selling Sports Coupe's of the last decade, I thought this might interest people anticipating the arrival of the new TT. The diesel version got almost 70 MPG!

Next Green Car tested the new TT diesel, obviously didn't get anywhere near the lab test figures, but managed high 40's to low 50's MPG which is very respectable for a quick Sports Coupe like this.

i've read a review from Top Gear. they mentioned

mixed but enthusiastic driving saw us return 48mpg - thumbs up for that - and the engine is refined at speed, if a little vocal in low-speed traffic. And the slightly hesitant front end that used to be synonymous with heavier diesel engines up front is missing.

Bear in mind these are UK MPG, you'll have to take about 17% off to get the US figure, but it's still respectable for a car like this in my opinion.
