Have 2136 miles so far this year. Hope to get 4000 for the year. Mainly ride the MUPS. Got in 42 miles today.

THat is admirable. You must have saved a ton on gas. Let us know here at http://www.gassavers.org if you do achieve the next goal.

Well, i crashed on 08/10/11 and did serious damage to myself. Still have pain in my hands, and back. Cracked 7T, herniated disc, dislocated fingers, broken right hand, ligaments pulled away from bone with bone fragments, had to reset my dislocated fingers myself. Some paralysis in my hands but now is much better as i can now finally close my left hand. Did a face plant that left the imprint of the helmet pads on my forehead. Face looked like the elephant man. Bent the frame of my Trek 1400 at the tt and dt. I have got in a few miles in the last couple of months, longest was 30 miles but usually just 14 or so if i feel i can ride.
Took all the 105s off the trek and put them on my 1988 Red ClubFuji. Hope to ride more however its slow going.

If you actually figure it out it probably cost more for food than for gas at your 56 mpg but I run an electric scooter which is why cheaper per mile like 0.4kwh to go 18 miles.

Must feel great in the rain and cold/snow to be on your scooter, but i like the saving because i am one cheap guy.

Extra calories burned riding my bike cost me more $$$ than the equivalent distance covered by driving my car in gas, but mad respect to 1cheap1 and terribly sorry about your accident. That really sucks. I'm lucky that I only broke my foot when I crashed into and somersaulted over a deer at 35mph going down a hill on my road bike.
