Is it possible to add an additional drop down box to further define the search? In addition to engine type and body style I'd like to see the ability to pick a year range. This way we can search a specific year range where the manufacturer changed the engine or body style.

For example, VW went to a different diesel engine in 2004 that got slightly less economy. It would be cool to just see the info and graph comparing just that engine instead of all the Jettas lumped together.

You can go to a specific year of a model by clicking a year on the page. For example, this page lists all VW Jettas with a diesel engine from all years. Separating the model years is a headline with the year. You can click any of those to go to a page that lists only models from that year. Here's the page for VW Jettas with diesel engines in 2004.

If you study the URLs a little, you can make a quick change to the year to quickly move between two years. Just swap out "2004" in the last URL with "2003" to see the previous year.
