l/100km to 2 dec places?

Can the precision of l/100km be increased from one decimal place to two decimal places across the whole site? This would effectively allow viewing l/1000km and provide a greater level of detail and be more informative.

The site already displays to two decimal places if you graph all your fuel ups on the pop tags when you hover over a specific fuel up.

Thanks.

PS this would be in keeping with how G/100mi is currently displayed.

No, sorry, we're going to leave it at one decimal place across the site. We don't display MPG or km/L to more than one decimal place across the site either. We feel like one decimal place is enough precision, and adding more would be adding more clutter to the site without being too useful. Of course one person's clutter is another person's extremely useful—some people would appreciate many more decimal places. We need to be able to the draw the line somewhere, and one decimal place is that line.

It's true that we show G/100 miles in the mini-stats section on vehicle pages to two decimal places. But we don't show that stat across the entire site. If it would be helpful, I could make the L/100km mini-stat to two decimal places as well.

A tenth of a kilometer is only 100 meters. Athletes can run 100 meters in under 10 seconds today. Not relevant if you ask me.

To compare gross averages of an entire model (such as all 2011 diesel Jettas), 2 decimal places gets more important as L/100 km or US Gal/100 mi gets smaller.

6.0 L/100 km = 39.20 MPG(US)

5.9 L/100 km = 39.87 MPG(US)

4.0 L / 100 km = 58.81 MPG(US)

3.9 L / 100 km = 60.31 MPG(US)

I don't think a 1.5 MPG difference would mean much in the grand scheme of things. Keep the site simple, clean.
