Exclamation Milage Calculation Mistake

I am not sure if u people have discussed about it already.

The milage calculated is wrong in fuelly. Ususally when we enter a fuel up. We get the distance from odometer entry. This distacne is divided by the entered fuel on that entry. It should actually be from the previous entry. The distance covered we get is from the fuel we filled on the previous entry. Hope the developers see this post and reprogram the logic.

You are wrong. The distance you have just completed divided by THIS top-up. If you have done 300 miles and it takes 6 gallons to refill the tank then you have achieved 50 mpg, gives you the mpg.
If you doubt me then might I suggest you Google it.

well. that will work only if you fill your tank. what if u fill only for a particular amount. or you dont completely fill the tank. then it goes wrong. not all people fill the tank completely.

Unless you fill the tank or add a specific amount of fuel to an empty tank then run it till it is empty again, it is impossible to calculate mpg

Fuelly has a partial fill tick box on the form for when the tank isn't filled all the way. It will then wait for a total fill and calculate the partial with it.
