today on Trucks TV, the guys tested a PCM engine tuner for fuel mileage increases. irrespective of the tuner results, they were able to drive 2 extra miles on a gallon of gas by driving conservatively.

i missed the begining, but the test vehicle was a full size late model chevy truck w/ a V8. they made it clear to the audience that driving technique gave them their ~10% increase, above what the tuner did or didn't do!
hopefully these type of programs that do not focus on FE, will continue to "educate" the general public. 'cause we know this type of subject is not on most "must see" lists.
